Lisbon capital city of Portugal, one of Europe’s oldest cities founded around 1200 bc. The cobblestone hills that have been walked for centuries invite one to step into the incredible journey of the past. Each step connects to the changing history and the transition the country and its people has undergone from its founding to the present.

In this historic adventure landmarks like the Belem Tower, the Jeronimos monastery, and the medieval St. George’s castle reveal Portugal’s rich history. The historic charm, stunning views and culinary delights of the city await.  The ancient Alafma district, the ride on the historic tram 28, and the view from St. George’s castle offer breathtaking experiences.

The pastel de nata in  Belem, along with local flavors and dishes, add to the experience. The Santa just a lift, a neo- gothic elevator, connects the lower streets of Baixa to the higher Carmo Square, modern artistic boutiques and street art bring life to Lisbon.

Finally, savoring the pastel de nato, creamy- tart. Bacalhau , and grilled sardines fills the senses, making every taste feel just right.

Cairo, Egypt-founded in 969AD

A historic, monumental metropolis known as the “victorious city.” It’s home to one of the world’s oldest Islamic heritage’s, including renowned mosques, vibrant markets, and cultural wonders. I’m eager to explore the majestic, awe inspiring pyramid of Giza, standing tall through the centuries. I want to walk in the footsteps of those from ancient times, those in the present, and those yet to come

I’m looking forward with eager anticipation to visiting and touring the ancient Nile River- once the lifeline of the world’s earliest societies. The valley breathed life into the desert, providing food, agriculture, transport, and materials for monumental projects. Even today, the Nile remains the lifeblood of the nation. Cairo- often nicknamed the “mother of the world “ – has witnessed remarkable changes, both ancient and modern. I can’t wait to walk the streets of Cairo-meeting its people, exploring its vibrant markets, listening to its beautiful music, savoring its wonderful cuisine, taking tours, and riding the Nile. There’s so much to enjoy!

Rome

The capital of Italy, is the only city in the world that encloses another country: Vatican City. This smallest independent state, governed by the Pope, has around 800 residents, its own army, currency, and postal system. Historically, Rome was the first city to surpass one million inhabitants.

I look forward to visiting the colosseum, one of the seven wonders of the world. I can almost hear the roar of 70,000 voices from 2,000 years ago and feel the presence of gladiators across the centuries. I’d love to ride the ancient lifts that brought animals and gladiators into the arena.

I’m eager to explore the Roman forum and palatine hill then step into the pantheon, where Italy’s first king and the artist Raphael rest. Each carries lawyers of history I can’t wait to witness of course, I’ll savor Italy’s world- renowned cuisine- perhaps in Trastevere, a charming neighborhood near the Tiber. I look forward to strolling cobblestone streets, meeting the locals, visiting museums, and yes- even window- shopping the treasures Italy has to offer and much more awaits!
